That’s sadly what happened in this case, according to news out of Daytona Beach. The news states that a 50-year-old man passed away after being struck by a 31-year-old man’s vehicle. The younger man was allegedly fleeing from the police after running a stop sign at Cedar Street and South Carolina Street.
The 50-year-old man passed away at the scene after being struck as he entered into an intersection. The young man fleeing the police had reportedly ignored the red light at that intersection, hitting the driver’s side of the other man’s vehicle. This forced the older man’s vehicle to spin and hit a palm tree and telephone pole.
The younger man’s car hit three additional cars before eventually coming to a stop. The 31-year-old man was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center and has life-threatening injuries. He was in critical condition at the time of the report.
