When we set out on the road each day, we seldom think about auto accidents, especially not fatal auto accidents. However, we live a highly trafficked area of the country, both from a commerce (shipping, receiving and transporting) and tourism standpoint. This means that our roadways are often clogged with people unfamiliar with the area, or perhaps even, the country. Unfortunately, the perils of our roadways was exemplified in a recent fatal three-vehicle car accident in Orange County.
The accident scene
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, that car accident occurred last Tuesday, after 11:30 p.m. At about that time, a box truck was traveling westbound on Landstreet Road. It then attempted to make a left turn when it impacted the side of a car, which then impacted a semitruck.
First responders where able to get the driver of the vehicle to the hospital. However, the driver died at the hospital. The accident is still under investigation, so anyone who witnessed the accident is encouraged to speak with the Florida Highway Patrol.
After car accidents
For Kissimmee, Florida, car accident victims, there are options. Victims of the negligence of others can sue through a personal injury lawsuit to recover for their pain and suffering. For the families of those that have died due to another’s negligence, they too have options, a wrongful death lawsuit. Neither one of these lawsuits will bring someone back to life or unbreak bones. Though, they will bring a sense of civil justice and compensate victims and their families for their pain and suffering.
