When this sort of misfortune happens to a person, he or she can apply for Social Security Disability benefits under the SSDI program, and the amount he or she can draw in benefits is related to how long he or she has worked and what he or she has put in to the system.
However, adults are not the only ones who can suffer under severe disabilities. Many children also have profound physical and mental limitations, including but not limited to autism, severe ADHD and various birth defects.
Even though these children have no work history, there is no doubt that their parents will need financial assistance to help their children effectively.
